The high Victorian ROCHESTER MANTEL features an arched opening that's ideally suited for our Windsor Gas or Electric insert. This is small "London Style" mantel that's ideal to remodel a small coal fireplace or to create a new gas or electric fireplace.

Intricately detailed, the Rochester is hand made to order in your choice of finishes and in your ideal style. 

It can be made with the fruitbasket keystone shown left, or with a simpler corbel style keystone. Choose from 6 elegant color finishes.

This is a cast stone material that saves thousands of dollars over what a carved marble or limestone mantel would cost. The Rochester mantel is exquisitely detailed and will look like it's been in place for over a century. It's the crowning glory to your room and a showpiece that honors a vintage home with true Victorian style.

After customizing the mantel just how you'd like it, it is hand made for you in about 7 weeks. When it's ready, each piece is carefully wrapped in padding then individually boxed and loaded onto a pallet. Your mantel will arrive on a freight truck a week or so later; make sure to have a couple of strong people on hand to unload it. The assembled mantel weighs roughly 600 lbs, but by each piece weighing considerably less it makes the job a bit easier. Detailed instructions for installation are included. You supply the 6-pack to thank your friends for helping unload the mantel and carry it in. You'll probably want to throw in a steak dinner to convince them to help you install it.
