You can install this insert into a new MASONRY fireplace as part of new construction, but note that it is very tall on the rear at 36", although this isn't visible in the photo. Can also be used, by removing the cast iron firebox, to create an electric fireplace with historic flair. You can also use the VICTOR 3 gas coal burner in this insert, but this insert must still be installed only into a masonry fireplace.

MEASURES 40"wide, 40" tall and 10" deep with firebox. Opening is approximately 16" wide.
