This damper style is less restrictive than most top mount damper styles and is the choice of many chimney professionals for its ease of use and dependability. A slight pull on the fireplace-mounted handle chain releases the spring-loaded top into the open position. When open, this damper design is least obstructive to exiting smoke. EASY to operate! The bracket is attached to the fireplace wall, keeping the handle easily accessible. A slight pull opens and closes the damper. The fireplace mounting bracket and 50' cable are included with each damper. When open, this damper measures 9" in height. LIFETIME WARRANTY - MADE IN THE USA.
