Description

The Bullseye Rosette is such a ubiquitous design in American craftsman detail, nicely reproduced in this wood mantel that's hand made by a small custom shop. If you live in an older home, there's a great chance your home's woodwork incorporates this design. (It was popular in older homes because it negated the need to miter the corners; wood trim could be run to a corner then covered by the rosette.) If you have an old Victorian home and need a folk art style mantel, this one is a great choice that can be painted to match your trim and will look totally original to the house.

As pictured, it features solid moldings and is made of quality MDF veneer header, shelf and legs - ready to paint; also available in oak so you can stain it. This is a nice traditional style that won't be out of place in any room.

Standard price is for MDF veneer which is a paint grade wood
Can be sent to you primed in white - add $150
Upgrade to oak wood, suitable for staining, add $200
Standard size as shown, the opening is 48W x 42H (with 1-1/2" return) which is suitable for a standard size fireplace opening
Custom sizes available
To help figure custom sizes, the mantel's INSIDE OPENING should be at least 12" wider than the fireplace opening and 8" taller for a wood burning fireplace to meet fire safety codes. If using a wood stove or unvented gas logs, check manufacturer's specifications for clearances to combustibles. Consult building codes for further information.
